“Thursdays at 7,
Shine the Light!”
Every Thursday
at 7 p.m.
in your time zone,
starting March 20
The Beacon is launching Thursdays at 7, Shine the Light! Let’s bring our voices to the street every Thursday.
Each week, we will make our voices heard wherever we are. As beacons, we can shine light by making a sign and bringing it outside—in front of our houses, apartment buildings, to our street corners, subway stops, etc.
Our signs will proudly share whatever we’re feeling in our souls in the face of this regime’s actions. Our signs might read, “I Stand With Our Immigrant Neighbors,” or “Honk if You Love Ukraine,” or “Trans Rights Are Human Rights,” or “Read Banned Books.” (Here are 52 ideas!)
Together, we will build visible resistance and organized compassion, meet our neighbors, and join together in acts of solidarity.
